Watersports in South Perth start at our base at Lot 920 Mill Point Rd, right on the Swan River with the Perth city skyline across the water. Ultimate Watersports started out on the Swan River, and South Perth is where we run jet ski hire, guided jet ski tours, wakeboarding, tubing, and paddle board and kayak hire.
It suits first-timers and experienced riders alike. Jet ski riders get a safety briefing and training first, staff supervise on the water, and all safety equipment is provided. Families can go tubing together from age 6, and anyone after a slower pace can paddle the river.
Our jet ski hire in Perth runs on well-maintained 2019 to 2022 Sea-Doo GTI jet skis, stable and forgiving for beginners. No skipper's ticket is needed for a one-hour hire, fuel is included, and the price is per jet ski, so two can ride together. Half and full days are available, or book a late-model 160hp Yamaha for more power.
Prefer a guide? Our 2.5-hour jet ski tour leaves at 10am and 1pm and passes Matilda Bay, Elizabeth Quay, the Matagarup Bridge and Optus Stadium, with an eye out for black swans and, if you are lucky, dolphins. It ends with a 30-minute freestyle session, and no skipper's ticket is needed.
Wakeboarding sessions on the Swan River run for 30 minutes or an hour, with instructors on hand and Slingshot demo boards and bindings to try. Group tubing is towed by a jet ski for 10, 20 or 30 minutes at a relaxed or energetic pace, for two or more riders aged 6 and up.
For a calmer outing, hire a stand-up paddle board or a kayak for an hour, a half day or a full day and take in the city and river views at your own pace.
Cannot decide? The Perth day pass gives one person a 20-minute jet ski hire, half an hour towed on the board of your choice, an hour of SUP or kayak hire and a half-hour tube ride, all in one day.
Flyboarding is not offered at South Perth, so for Flyboard X head to our Hillarys Boat Harbour base in Perth's north.

Jet ski drivers must be 16 or older, and so must wakeboarders, paddle board and kayak hirers, and day pass holders. Tubing is open to riders from age 6.
The credit card you booked with and matching photo ID, swimwear or clothes you are happy to get wet, and sunscreen. Leave valuables on shore, or add a water-resistant phone case to your booking.
